Effective date: January 1, 2025.
Chetrock Capital LLC ("Chetrock," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect. We collect the following categories of personal information:
• Contact form submissions: your first and last name, email address, and any message or "area of interest" you provide.
• Server and log data: when you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and access times, as is standard for any website.
• Value Gap assessment inputs: the answers and financial figures you enter into the Value Gap tool. These are processed entirely in your own browser and are not transmitted to or stored by Chetrock.
• Local browser preferences: minor, non-identifying settings (such as a typography choice) that may be stored in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us.
We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or other sensitive personal information through this website.
2. How we use your information. We use the personal information described above to: respond to your inquiries and requests to speak with us; schedule and prepare for conversations about a potential engagement; operate, secure, and improve this website; and comply with our legal obligations. We do not use your contact-form information for automated decision-making or profiling.
3. How we share your information. We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only with:
• Service providers who help us operate this website — for example, our web hosting provider (which processes standard server logs) and our email provider (Google Workspace, which receives contact-form submissions sent to our inbox) — solely to provide those services to us.
• Prospective buyers, co-advisors, or other third parties in a transaction — only with your prior written permission.
• Legal and regulatory authorities — where required to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Chetrock or others.
• A successor entity — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of Chetrock's business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information under the new ownership.
See our separate Cookies page for information about tracking technologies; we do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies, and no third-party ad networks receive information from this website.
4. Data retention. We retain contact-form submissions and related correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, maintain our business records, and comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, after which we delete or anonymize it.
5. Your rights and choices. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, or to ask us to stop using it for certain purposes. (California and other state-specific rights are detailed separately on our State Privacy Rights page.) To exercise any of these rights, or to opt out of future communications from us, email info@chetrockcapital.com with your request; we will respond within a reasonable time. We do not charge a fee for reasonable privacy requests.
6. Children's privacy. This website is intended for business owners and professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Data security. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to this policy. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above; continued use of this website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
9. Contact us. Questions about this Privacy Policy or your personal information can be directed to info@chetrockcapital.com.
